Why do we give ?

One of the reasons why we give is because it's a sign of physical trust in God declaring that He is our sustainer and not ourselves Psalm 4:5 says – “Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the LORD.”

Another reason as to why we give is because it's a sign of thanksgiving to God for everything He has done for us throughout the week Psalm 54:6 says – “With a freewill offering I will sacrifice to You; I will give thanks to Your name, O LORD, for it is good.”

Lastly but not the last, the reason why we give is because God has permitted us to and we have decided in our hearts in response to give 2 Corinthians 9:7 says - "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
